The name says it all: The Ensemble BachWerkVokal Salzburg defines its central artistic focus in the vocal works of Johann Sebastian Bach. The ensemble was founded in 2015 by the conductor and organist Gordon Safari and has been led by him ever since. BachWerkVokal Salzburg has quickly established itself in the field of historically informed performance practice in Austria and beyond. At Christuskirche Salzburg, BachWerkVokal have their own concert series. Invitations have taken the ensemble to the important international festivals for Early music such as Mozart Week Salzburg, Bachfest Leipzig, südtirol festival merano meran, International Baroque Days Melk, Thuringia Bach Weeks, Kempen Klassik, Frankfurt Bach Concerts, Innsbruck Festival of Early Music and others.
Der Name ist Programm: Das Ensemble BachWerkVokal Salzburg definiert seinen zentralen künstlerischen Bezugspunkt im Vokalwerk Johann Sebastian Bachs. 2015 vom Dirigenten und Organisten Gordon Safari gegründet und seither von ihm geleitet, konnte sich das Ensemble rasch im Bereich der historisch informierten Aufführungspraxis in Österreich und darüber hinaus etablieren. In der Christuskirche Salzburg gestaltet BachWerkVokal eine eigene Konzertserie.
